Carrick Porter's Story:
Diagnosed with juvenile arthritis at age 9, Carrick does not let this rare auto-immune disease keep him from leading an active life. An avid rower and a lead contributor to raising money for research, Carrick is an exceptional individual with a bright future.

Sophia chose to be home-schooled in order to fully dedicate herself to her passion - the cello.  When she isn't focused on academics Sophia gives back to the community by lending her talents to a nursing home.

Aron spends all of his free time in the kitchen- either at home cooking meals for his family or on the line in a fast paced restaurant in downtown Chicago. His passion for food started young and it looks like it isn't going away anytime soon.

At 17, Sam is an ‘expert-level’ Scrabble champion, and he shares his love of the game by tutoring younger players. He’s also Student Council President, and he plays on his school’s tennis team.

Sami is a full-time high school student and a dedicated athlete competing on the National Women Gymnastics Team. Somehow she manages to juggle it all and always with a smile on her face.

Ray Drew's Story:
Ray is one of the best high school football players in the country – ESPN ranks him #3 nationally in his position – which means he's an even bigger icon in town.  He's known for more than just his performance on the field though.  As a registered minister and community volunteer, Ray encourages stewardship, giving back, dedication and a hard work ethic.  His hard work and persistence led him to where he is, and he's dedicated himself to excelling at his sport and improving the ties of the community around him.

Even though Elizabeth lives in Florida, she’s a huge Red Sox fan. As an aspiring sports journalist, she has combined her passions by starting a blog about the Red Sox. At 16, she has one of the most followed blogs on MLB.com.

Position: Video Editor  My Two Cents, is an informative talk show that discusses rising concerns in the black community. This show aired on BET Network's cable channel, Centric, and I was responsible to edit over two dozen 2-3 minute field packages.  My other responsibilities included sound editing, color correction, and designing/animating all b-roll graphics.

6. Dragged Under : A DOCUMENTARY

Roles: video editing, color correction, lighting design, camera shooting, and designing/animating all b-roll graphics.  

Dragged Under, a documentary, tells the story of a day in the life of a popular drag queen in Akron, Ohio.  Her emotional interview, along with insight from professionals, sheds light on the human side of her persona. My other responsibilities included sound editing, color correction, lighting design, camera shooting, and designing/animating all b-roll graphics.
