Joseph Gerard is a New York City based designer, animator, illustrator, and editor from Ohio. His work has been featured in commercials, film, television and print.
His artistic expression began with illustration, which later molded into graphic/motion design, animation and film upon graduating from Kent State University. His move to the big city started his career at MTV Networks assisting in the advertisement launch of the new channel, LOGO. Shortly after, he expanded his clientele list at Transistor Studios working on storyboards, animations, illustrations and stop motion projects for VH1, MTV, Shopzilla, and Nicoderm. His extensive editing work has also been widely seen on BET Network, MTV and VH1.
Currently, Joseph is a motion designer at USA Network's advertisement department. His roster of the shows that he has designed show packaging for include Law & Order: CI, Monk, Psych, Royal Pains, White Collar, In Plain Sight, WWE Raw and Burn Notice.
Throughout the course of his professional career, Joseph collaborates with other artists on independent projects and singularly tends to his own personal art to keep the inspiration burning. His passion is to continually create captivating art that evolves from his personal life experiences with the world around him.
